Leftovers...,

As primarily a softie maker, I quite often have leftover bits, pieces, and softie limbs. Some I just throw out, while others give the impression that they could actually have a second lease of life as something else.

This was a trial run, so didn't get used for the final piece. It's been sat on my desk all week,

...while I ponder what I could do with it. It's fringed felted wool, with a piece of wire running down the centre (which can come out if need be).

Any ideas?

A leaf perhaps. Not to be insulting but it looks lie a good feather duster too, Please don't take that the wrong way - I think I just have housework on the brain at the moment. Cherrie

Trim it up to make an autumn leaf.

No, sorry I have no ideas. It could be because we are suffering 40C heat wave at the moment. But I feel confident you will make something inspiring with it as usual. and excited as well. Will be back to check.

I was thinking a branch for a feather tree. With all the little things you make, a feather tree would be a fun think to put them on.

I thought it would make a very good hairy catapillar if you rouched the fringe up a little and bent the wire into a lazy s shape.

Shall I get my coat? ...........

Your work is brilliant!

You are pretty crafty!!! How do you find the time? YOu must be so organized! Maybe the leftovers can be scrunched up and sewn/tied onto a hairband or barrette?

Hi,
It's been some time since I'm looking at your blog! Your creative world is wonderful!! Congratulations.
For the fringed piece of fabric, I was thinking of making autumn napkin rounds!
I am looking forward to see what you are going to make?

Do we get any prizes if you choose our idea? ;)

Could you make a necklace with it? or add some more to make a looong xmas tree garland?

or, or: a "tail" on a kite?

BTW just found your blog and am already hooked...
