Best laid plans,

Barn Owl no.1

...the first of many as I love that farm fabric so much (and there's a fair bit left yet to use!)

I'm not totally happy with this first one, but it's all part of the design process and I am working towards getting some items together to put in my first Etsy shop update.

And, talking of the design process, it doesn't always go to plan, does it? Here are two discarded elephants that weren't quite right, but I can't bring myself to take them apart just yet, maybe when I next run out of stuffing!

The owly fabric is gorgeous...but so too is the elephant one...how sad to see them on the scrapheap though, it's so tiresome when things don't go quite as you'd wanted! x

Your owls are so cute! Did they come from a book or did you make the pattern yourself?

Hello, I came from Melly&me when they showed your cute owl. Congrats to the design! I read some of your posts (I was not able to read all at the same time)... And the elf hat is my other favourite now I think!

Good luck to your shop as well!
I am sure I will visit your blog in the future as well!

I centainly know about the "not to plan" factor. I worked on a new pig this week and it worked but it is so bland and has got no wow factor at all - a total failure!! But we move on dont we??? (after sulking and feeling unsuccessful for a few days anyway - LOL!!!) Can't wait to see your etsy shop!! Good luck!

Hi there, just having a peek at your blog to see what sort of stuff you are into it, as we are partners for Luck Locket's swap... Looks like our work is very different, which should make it lots of fun to swap. Love that owl. :)
