The real Lucy Kate...

I promised Lucy I would blog this, she's so proud of the map she made at 'art club' on saturday!

I love the way little ones spell words just like they sound at this age, here we have laze rive (lazy river), sdret o the howse (street of the house aka, where we live!), and gcuze behc, (jacuzzi beach)

There is also fere land (fairy land), pixe land (pixie land), angl land (angel land), and poo swomp (poo swamp)!!

Hmm, maybe we need to work on the spellings, but then, she is only just 6, and she didn't have any help writing it!.

what a great picture - that girl is shaping up to be just as creative as her parents...

My daughter does that cute spelling thing too, I love it but am never sure whether I should be telling her how the things are "correctly" spelt, for school's sake mostly

great map

That's a fantastic map - how cool that you have such fabulous places right near where you live :) (Except perhaps for poo swamp...)

What a fantastic map - it looks so very well thought out and beautiful colours...is the 'poo swamp' an area frequented by dog-walkers?

Lovely! I would frame that and keep it forever. Those little chicken scrawls will be most cherished one day!

I'm linking from a comment you left on my blog--thank you for visiting! xox

I love it. I love the colours and the arrangement of everything. She has a natural talent there, I would say. I hope you are telling her what we all think of it!

gorgeous. her spellings are fine for her age, and you'll miss the cuteness of them when she learns to spell "properly"...

Got my Valentine's swap package today - more on that a bit later! But I have a big smile on my face.

so precious!!! When I have children, I'm afraid our wall space in our home will go at a premium because I could not dare to put something like this in a box somewhere, it would HAVE to be displayed!

Wow - that's a very cool picture from your little one. I love their spellings too - this morning I had a note on my shopping list from No.2: "To Mum, Happ Valentimes, xx" I shall treasure it forever. x

LOL - I know what you mean about the spelling! My 7yo son is the same - I love deciphering his writing!
