We are big fans of the Richard Scarry books in our house...
Luke loves all the little characters and cars...
I've often thought that Huckle and Lowly Worm would make great softies...
(images from my latest charity shop buy, storybook £1.45)
and talking of softies, 'Pink' has arrived in the Etsy shop this afternoon!
EDIT TO POST
3 owls, 1 pink cat and 1 pink kitten SOLD, thank you!
I can't believe that I missed out on the kitty...
ReplyDeleteI heart Richard Scarry too.

ReplyDeleteWow I got an owl.
Thanks so much.
I used to love Richard Scarry books when I was a child and have just bought one for Fred but I don't think he has taken much notice of it yet - I may need to introduce him to it properly!!!
ReplyDeleteLucy x

ReplyDeleted'ya know somewhere i have a richard scarry book that actually does have designs for making the mice and the worm out of felt!!!

Oh wow! I remember my bruv had a Richard Scarry alphabet book. For some reason "Z for zipperumpazooo" has remained forever lodged in my brain!!! Help me!! :o)
ReplyDeleteWe love Richard Scarry too! My kids and I were just singing a song from one of his nursery rhyme videos! they are 10 and 12 now....and STILL remember the tune and skit from the video!
ReplyDeleteBTW, love the stuffies!
Oh how I loved Richard Scarry when I was little. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I well remember sitting with the smalls poring over Richard Scarry. Well, not him personally, but his books. The illustrations are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCute pink stuff! x
I had a Lowly Worm book as a little girl and really enjoyed it - loved his single little boot. Gorgeous pink things, sorry to have missed the owls.
ReplyDeleteI love the illustrations in Richard Scarry's books. Monster loves them too as there is so much to look at in the pictures.

Ooh! I love your style. Very nice:)
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I havent seen these books since I was a little nipper. me and my sister would read them all the time. Thanks for bringing back the memories. After having 2 children, I tend not to have a memory anymore!! Well, they do say your brain cells start to disappear after having kids dont they. Love your blog, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteWe love Richard Scarry's books too. There is a Finnish author, Mauri Kunnas, he's books have a lot of detail too. Sven Nordqvist is a great Swedish writer and illustrator of children's books. Maybe you could find their books translated at your library? Your pink animals are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteOh Gosh... My childhood is comming back! I loved Richard Scarry books. I think I still have them somewhere! So nice to see this on your site.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
I still have my Richard Scarry books from when I was little and am enjoying them all over again with my children.
ReplyDeleteChe bello! Quando ero piccola tutte le domeniche al mattino stavo nel letto e sfogliavo questi libretti! ... Quanti ricordi!
ReplyDeleteGrazie!
Un bacio NuX
Ohh! We had one of those books when I was younger. My sister and I loved it. It was a big book so we use to lay it on the floor with both of us looking at the pictures. I loved the funny cars =)
