one, two, three... tea!

A quick solution to plug a gap while I finish off the last King Charles Spaniel, 3 tea time themed cotton reel pincushions...

I have only made a couple of these recently, so it was a case of having to remind myself how to do it as I went along.  Do you ever do that? forget how to make your own designs?

I was sat for a while with a circle of card, wondering where on earth it went!

It's a base (obviously!), but for a while my mind just went blank.

The pincushions are in the shop now.

  1. These are so wonderfully creative. Yes, I have forgotten a pattern before. I do write them down but then forget where I put them. Though I do keep a file folder for such things. I just have to remember to put them in it.

  3. Beautiful in cushions!

I'm always forgetting my own knitting pattern designs - I do them in this weird shorthand ..and I know what I mean when I'm noting them down, but a couple of months/years later parts seem nonsensical !!!

    Hope you're enjoying the sunshine.

  5. At my knitting club this morning, I sat there for ages trying to remember how to do SSK (slip, slip, knit). I know I have done it before but my brain could not comprehend it so I had to ask someone, like a newbie, before anyone asked me what the pained expression was on my face! Must be something in the air, I think!

    1. By the way... I forget how to make my stuff all the time now that I am selling my patterns and not the crafts. I still need to catch up on making samples for my sample bin!

I'd love one of these, SUCH a clever idea for a pin cushion.
