That was the noise my sewing machine was making last night while repairing jeans. After spotting this and this on Pinterest, it seemed the coolest way of mending the knee hole in Luke's favourite pair,
but given how much fluff there must be inside my machine, a hazard of sewing mainly with felted wool I guess, I think a service may well be in order.

jessica, the jeans are age 6 in size, so the leg isn't huge. i rolled it up from the bottom to the knee area, took the extension table off my machine so i could fit the leg over the smaller working area. then i realised if i stitched with the normal presser foot, it wouldn't work as i couldn't actually turn the leg, so i dropped the feed dog and free machined it instead as i could work around the hole by going forwards and then backwards. hope that makes sense!
