We've just taken a couple of weeks out to give the house a bit of a sort out. The loft (attic?, we call it a loft here in the UK) needed emptying as we're having new insulation fitted which will hopefully keep the house warmer. Bit nervous about it all though as we don't have a good track record when it comes to going in our loft...
due to Al having put his foot through the ceiling in my sewing room. His slipper landed on my desk!
Back soon with some actual sewing, I promise.
We had an electrician come through our hall ceiling (we're in a bungalow). His leg came through, right up to his thigh! He was badly bruised and his jeans ripped right through so a slipper on a desk is a lucky escape IMO!!

ReplyDeleteI believe a loft is what you're talking about, a storage place in the roof-space. An attic is when there are rooms in the roof-space. At least I think that's the difference...
