100th post (and a special edition giveaway...!)

Well, according to my blog stats, this is it, the 100th post.  I feel like I should be saying something profound, but if truth the known, I'm just too tired tonight!.  It's been a busy week, we've been to the beach, sorted our kitchen out and now have floor again, and school started on Thursday.  So, while the little ones were off being educated, I took a trip to a sewing machine shop, and came home with this beauty...!

(apologies for the awful photograph, the camera was on the wrong setting)

So, now I have the machine, I need something to sew..., hmm, now what could I make?

How about a special edition owl?, say, larger than my other owls and, oh I don't know, you choose the colour.  Right, that's settled, leave a comment, by midnight (GMT) on Monday 1st September, to be included in the draw, tell me the colour(s) you would like your owl to be, and I'll select a winner, the random number generator way on Tuesday.

PS, my contribution to the 'Softies for Mirabel' appeal is included in the current round of auctions, there are still a couple of days left to bid, please go and check the other items on offer, there are some lovely things.

If I was to win I'd love any colour because I started to say I liked blues and greens, then I thought pinks and purples... you get the idea!

Your blog inspires me. I've only been blogging myself for a short time and 100 posts seems so far off to me, well done and keep it up!

As for colours, well it has to be cream and rose pink, such a lovely combination.

I would love to see an owl in lovely creamy whites and ecrus -- it reminds me of my granddaughter, Hannah who is almost 5 and she loves our white owl at the Zoo, he is a Scops and she insists that owls are not called owls, they are scops -- here is a link to a beautiful creature in whites, creams and ecrus -- ah the beauty, just like my granddaughter!

Congratulations! 100 posts. I have a little way to go. I am new to blogging this year. Thankyou for your wonderful inspiration. I have made some of your tea cosy owls which have proved to be very popular and well received gifts.

If I were to win an owl of yours I'd be so grateful and delighted!! It would have to be cream with pink and a touch of maroon or burgundy. The darker colour sets off pink and cream beautifully.

Happy sewing with your lovely new machine.
